Slow, long waves, turquoise water, it's the kind of place that makes you forget you had somewhere to be.
What I love most is how alive it is. You can be standing on the sand and watch dolphins surfing, whales passing the lookout and turtles swimming around the bay. A koala dozing in the trees behind the beach, bush turkeys scratching around underneath, an eagle riding the wind above it all, it's pretty magic. The whole natural world just gets on with it around you, and you get to be there for it.
I've tried to fit as much of that in as I could. They're all in there somewhere.
So many of us have a Byron story - a holiday, a wedding, a summer. This one's for that.
