Currumbin has been sitting with me for a while. My grandparents spent much of their life here. Mum's family home was just around the corner, so we have lots of memories from this special place. 🧡
I wanted to honour all of it. The rock, the beach, the surf club that's been keeping this stretch of coast safe for over 100 years. The dawn service that happens here every ANZAC Day. The Swell Sculptures that have made this place their home. And Sun Spirit, she's back where she belongs.
Ori was with me in the studio again, so there's also lorikeets, bin chickens, someone's lost keys, and honestly more hidden things than I can keep track of. 😂
